John is a seasoned advisor in the financial services industry with more than 35 years of experience. A Southeastern Louisiana University graduate, John began his career by joining his father’s MONY agency, and it was there that he began to develop his vision of growing his financial expertise to service both individual and corporate clients in a variety of areas. He has worked with multiple other firms since then, including Acacia, Prudential, General American and OneAmerica, and is currently the General Agent of National Life Group’s Charlotte agency and owner of Summit Advisory Group, an insurance and investment firm. John has built a strategic alliance with The P3 Group so he can help P3 clients achieve their business and personal financial goals.

John has extensive experience working with business owners who are just starting up or are looking to make changes to their Business Plan with respect to financial services. As a successful business owner himself, he understands that being prepared for the expected and the unexpected is crucial to the success and longevity of a business. John specializes in Retirement Planning, Business Continuation, Corporate Buy-Sell, Key Person Insurance and Risk Management. His clients have the comfort of knowing that when their businesses change, he will be there to help them navigate the changes.

John also understands and values the importance of business culture, and part of a business’s culture includes the area of benefits. He uses his knowledge and experience in the areas of Employee Benefits, Executive Benefits, Executive Bonus programs, Deferred Compensation programs, Salary Continuation programs, Split Dollar programs, 401(k) and other Qualified Plans, as well as individual and group health insurance, to help his clients design cost-effective benefit packages that contribute to a positive and exciting work environment.

In his free time, John loves to spend time with his wife, Lisa, their two children, Melissa and Tanner, their spouses, Daniel and Courtney, and their two grandchildren, Levi and Lillie.
